Dakota District SDMI

For some time many people around the district have wondered just what the, SDMI is.  Well, some time ago the general Sunday School department sought to come along the churches new mission statement of "making disciples in the Nations" by changing the name from Sunday school ministries to Sunday School and Discipleship ministries international.  This really reflects the global scope of our church.  So we at the Dakota District felt it important to identify with that global focus and we took the name of our general church.  We are now the Dakota District Sunday School & Disciplship Ministries International.  Or, Dakota Disrict SDMI.

KIDS CAMP!!
Camp is coming up soon.  Make sure you get your kids to come.  It will be a blast!

Regional Conventions are HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The District SDMI has had our first convention in Mandan and it was AWESOME!  I truly encourage you to attend your regions convention.  The round table discussion times were some of the most fruitful dialogue I have ever been a part of.  Each of the departments are represented in the round table times.  Children, NYI, and Adults.  It doesn't matter if you haven't tought Sunday school for awhile, or if you are a small group leader, there will be something for you.  Invite your friends and get your church to be a part.

Small Church Encouragement
Over 73% of the North American church of the Nazarene is "Small Church".  So when you are ministering in your small church, to small groups of people, you know that you are right where God wants you.  Keep up the good work.

Children's ministries is taking off!

Laymen's Retreat

This year Laymen's retreat is going to be extra special.  Rev Dan Bohi has been slated to speak.  And guess what?  Children are invited to attend.  It is going to be a family affair.  How exciting.  Plan to attend this years the first full weekend in October.
